Schedule of classes
Classes are 55 minutes and held at The Dance Spot, 605 E Ogden Ave, in Naperville, Illinois. Classes are sold in groups of four as a class punch card or you can drop-in to a single class.

The easy details:
- Please wear comfortable clothing.
- Barefeet, socks or ballet slippers are fine.
- Please arrive for class quietly and a few minutes early.
Classes are taught in small groups to insure safety and proper attention to each student. There is no set timetable at each level, but moving on to Levels 2 and 3 are at the teacher's discretion. Opportunities to perform (local festivals, belly dance events) pop up during the year. Performing is strictly optional and at the teacher's discretion.
For those with no belly dance experience or no ATS® dance experience. We'll introduce the basic movements and principles. Provide an overview of the various styles and show the connection between Cabaret/Modern Egyptian belly dance and American Tribal Style®.
For those with previous belly dance experience or those moving up from Intro. We'll introduce the basic movements and principles; we'll also stress proper alignment and form to insure safety in the dance. We will learn slow and fast movements. Every class will include dance drills to in order to build good dance technique. Zills, provided by studio, will be introduced.
With teacher approval: Students will delve deeper into the ATS® vocabulary of moves and the technique, play with formations and start to see the possibilities ATS® offers dancers. While strictly voluntary, opportunities to perform will be offered.
With teacher approval: Students will be perfecting ATS® technique and its aesthetic, with possible public performances.
Skills and Drills
Skills and Drills: This new class will focus on properly preparing the dancer to dance. We'll emphasize technique, build neural pathways and increase muscle memory. We'll emphasize Level 1 and 2 moves and the teacher will take requests provided enough notice is given. This is a great supplement to weekly classes or to learn moves at a slow, methodical pace.
Cassia is the student troupe of Eastern Fire Belly Dance. New troupe members are added at the teacher's discretion and may enter in January or July of a calendar year. Troupe is a six-month commitment with mandatory performance dates and costuming requirements.
Private and small group lessons
Grace is available for private lessons; 55-minute sessions start at $50 for one person, $80 for two people. Call her at 630-988-4443 or email for more information.
Class sessions are ongoing and cumulative. Sessions typically run 4 weeks and start the first week of every month. A four-class punch is $60, a eight-class punch is $105 (a $15 discount). You can purchase passes online using Paypal. Eastern Fire accepts cash, checks and credit cards at the studio.
